“Encyclopedia of the Turkish World” Prepared by Atatürk Research Center Now Available

The “Encyclopedia of the Turkish World,” prepared by the Atatürk Research Center, has been published. Initially written in Azerbaijani Turkish, the publication will be translated into Kyrgyz, Kazakh, and Western languages. The encyclopedia offers a vast wealth of information, covering topics from history and literature to pioneering Turkish women and cultural values.

The aim of the Encyclopedia of the Turkish World is to include information about the states established in regions carrying the traces of Turkish civilization, prominent figures, historical events, and the culture and civilization that has been built—essentially reflecting the rich historical heritage of the Turkish geography/world.

The main objective of this work is to develop a shared perspective on Turkish history, historical figures, and events in the Turkish World in the 21st century. The encyclopedia entries, including topics on Personalities, States, Locations, Events, and Phenomena, have been prepared based on primary, reliable sources, with a special focus on addressing the Turkish World aspect in each entry.

The encyclopedia consists of 9 subcategories: “Turkish States,” “Statesmen,” “History and Culture,” “Turkish Communities,” “Language and Literature,” “Geography and Space,” “Science and Art,” “Pioneering Women in the Turkish World,” and “Intellectuals and Thinkers.”

The digital version of the work has already attracted 6,280 viewers within 10 days.
